Today we are proud to present our newest collaboration with a popular Swedish fashion illustrator, Cecilia Carlstedt. The main goal of this collaboration is to highlight the importance of protecting our oceans from overfishing, waste pollution, and environmental toxins.

Swedish Stockings’ main mission is to drive and implement sustainable production in the fashion industry and for 2022 our environmental focus is on ocean preservation. By partnering with The Perfect World Foundation, a non-profit organization working with wildlife and nature in crisis we aim to raise awareness and show that the pollution of our oceans is real and that it's time for us all to make a change.

Cecilia, originally from Stockholm, has always had a passion for illustration and has been working in this field full time since she graduated from the London College of Communication in 2003. She has worked for many different clients but remains mainly connected to the fashion world where she experiments with many techniques such as ink, silkscreen, and collage. For Swedish Stockings, her Nemo tights depicts a fantasy underwater universe giving us hope for the future of our oceans.

“With the launch of Nemo, we are using our community to spread information that can make a real impact on the environment.”

Linn Frisinger, Founder, and CEO of Swedish Stockings.

The Nemo tights are produced emission-free and made from recycled yarn, in Italy. They are now available on our website, and ready to spread their message. Find them here!

Limited Edition Nemo Print

As an extension of the collaboration we offer a limited edition art print of the Nemo artwork, signed by Cecilia Carlstedt. The print measures 20x25 cm and is printed on printed on Smooth Fine Art Hahnemühle paper, 308g. But hurry, there are only 30 of them available.
