Our vision has from the very beginning been to produce hosiery that lasts longer. As a great leap towards this goal, we have joined forces with Sheertex, the Canadian pioneering brand that makes traditional pantyhose from a material ten times stronger than steel.

To prove the resiliency of the knit, Sheertex are testing them in multiple ways.

A pair of tights that can withstand great pulling force has a better chance of surviving the everyday life. Designed to stretch the material to its breaking point, the Lois Rip Resistant Tights withstood 5.9 times more pulling force than drugstore tights.

A 3D printed thumb with over one tonne force, repeatedly tried to push through the material, mimicking wear and tear from putting tights on. The result shows that Lois Rip Resistant Tights are 6 times stronger than your average tights.

To measure seam strength, a test was designed to test tear-prone areas such as gusset and toe. The result shows that Lois Rip Resistant Tights are 3 times stronger than the average competitor, making tears in these vulnerable areas less likely.
