Rave Rvw is a Stockholm-based fashion brand redefining sustainable style through its focus on upcycling and luxury remade clothing. Founded in 2018 by Swedish designers Josephine Bergqvist and Livia Schück, the brand combines innovative, eco-conscious design with a high-end aesthetic, demonstrating that sustainability and luxury can seamlessly coexist.
When Livia Schück and Josephine Bergqvist met at Beckmans College of Design, they were simply two students exploring the world of fashion. Today, they are the founders of Rave Rvw, a brand where creativity, sustainability, and Scandinavian sensibility collide.
Rave Rvw was born out of tension, a couple of beers, and a shared mix of love for fashion and doubts about the industry’s impact. “We wanted to create something meaningful, both environmentally and creatively,” says Livia. The name Rave Rvw, itself was upcycled from a vintage label and felt perfectly aligned with the brand. Today, its meaning stands on its own, carrying an attitude that mirrors the brand’s identity.

In the beginning, Rave Rvw stood out from the typical Scandinavian aesthetic – loud, bold, and unapologetically expressive. Today, the brand has evolved into something more refined while still maintaining its expressive, clever, and playful spirit. Its Scandinavian DNA now plays a larger role in creating garments that are more wearable and durable. In their previous AW25 collection, they even introduced a few entirely black pieces which was a rather unexpected moment for the brand.
The designs carry plenty of attitude, but Rave Review ultimately wants its customers to step into a world they feel they belong to. One where they feel confident, empowered, and unique. A core value of the brand is kindness. The fashion industry can often appear exclusive and harsh, but Rave Rvw aims to emphasize the importance of being kind; to the planet, to those around you, and to yourself.

Josephine usually keeps a close eye on finances and strategic structure, while Livia oversees production and product development; however, both founders know the brand inside and out and share creative leadership.
Tasks are often divided based on who has the most capacity – or who’s on maternity leave (haha), which has also been part of our reality. We challenge and complement each other in many ways, and it’s very helpful not to be alone in this,” says Josephine Bergqvist, who recently became a mother to a beautiful daughter.

Their latest collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week, featuring tights by Swedish Stockings, drew inspiration from children’s clothing through oversized collars, adjustable sleeves, and playful silhouettes. The creative vision was influenced by films such as Beauty and the Beast, where domestic objects and fabrics come to life, and Fanny and Alexander, which portrays childhood within an adult system. This contrast helped shape the collection’s balance between playfulness and a more serious, mature tone.
Looking ahead, they want to continue reminding both major industry players and consumers that responsibility and creativity are not opposites even if it means inspiring just a few brands to rethink their systems or encouraging a few customers to value craftsmanship and longevity more. Beyond that, Rave Rvw is determined to keep growing, perhaps through cross-over collaborations with interior design or by translating their universe into a physical store.
