Fashion Revolution Week - Transparency and Traceability

Fashion Revolution Week is an annual campaign that highlights fashion activism during one week in April. The campaign started after the Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh in 2013. Fashion Revolution Week reminds us of the tragedy and the 1300 lives that were lost, as well as the serious consequences of lack of transparency and traceability. In 2013, all fashion brands distanced themselves from the collapse and took no responsibility since they didn't know if/that they were producing in the factory. The problem was the many layers of sub-suppliers which the companies failed to monitor. A critical first step toward accountability, therefore, is greater transparency and traceability in the whole fashion industry.

Fashion Revolution Week 2023 marks 10 years since the Rana Plaza tragedy, and like many other companies in the fashion industry we want to be a part of the manifesto for a fashion revolution. We are now communicating product and material producers in the descriptions on a majority of our assortment, and our ambition is to be completely transparent by the end of 2023.
